About four years ago I purchased a vacation home and listed in one of these popular rental sites, everything was good until I started to realized that aside from my annual listing fee, the rental site(s) added an additional booking service fee to renters. As owner(s) we do not have the ability to discount or waive the service fee. New customer and repeating customer(s) were not happy.

Having a family of five I understand how important it is to have family vacation(s), the face expressions of my kids when I informed them about a vacation brings so much joy! I also understand how expensive a vacation can be, therefore in the past several years instead of booking a hotel I have rented a vacation home listed in popular rental sites. This year, due to all the additional fees in renting a vacation home, I booked a hotel for my family vacation. We had a great time, however I would have preferred a vacation rental home.
